1.3.7 (Mar 13, 2008)
This software looks EXACTLY like the newly released rmRemoval 3.3.2.
DrmRemoval 3.3.2 is another program that does the exact same thing and has an identical interface, even all the colors and art.
It is made by the same publisher, although I can not see any differance in the software.
I bought SoundTaxi and used it fine for a while.
But it will link your PC to the serian number just like windows Activation does.
The license will only work on that PC from now on.
So you can not install a copy on your Laptop and also your Desktop and use one while your out of town.
You also loose your license if you get some new computer hardware.
I emailed the company saying I had a new PC and need to activate the license and they gave me a new key to register with.
However, since then I bought a new programto do this for me, as SoundTaxi wasgenerally anoying and for some reason would consume 90% of my cpu on my quad core box even.
Must be buggy.
Now I use RS audials complete.
I LOVE it and it's got a netter license system and also has many more useful options!

Love the software, works 100% of the time on all my PC's.
Wishlist: save the pdf without page breaks, like a continuous scroll down document without seperators.
11.0.231 Beta (Apr 7, 2005)
I give it a 3, becasue it's got the best features i've seen in any software of it's type (Media Player/Ripper), but the company screws over it's customers by making them buy an upgrade for every new release!
That's just cra_p!
Software companies who do that for this level of software, are kidding themselves. There are way to many free alternatives out there to have to spend a ton of money on theirs.
PS: I bought 8.0 with the guarentee of free upgrades. I only got upgraded to 9.0 before they changed their policy on this and now I have to pay 20 bucks to get either of the new 10.0 or 11.0 versions.

You are right about XP supporting multiple IP addresses on each network card. In fact, windows 2000 supports this too.
BUT!!! Neither allow you have have multiple Gateway, DNS, and more importantly Subnets on the same network card.
I have not had a chance to test this software yet, but if it does do what it says it does then this is an invaluable tool!!!
Great job thinking up this piece of software!

Check your facts on warranty and maintenance.
You can NOT get FREE support on a MAC that out of warranty (12 months usualy). and You will pay higher premium to get Apple Store to work on it than taking any PC to a reputable repair shop. With a lack of shops thatwork on apple, you dont have any choice but to pay the premiums for support.

My free 5GB XDRIVE Still works, and they will let me upgrade to the 50gb for some $ - according to the web site when I login.

I think they probably are close to 99% uptime.
Generally speaking, most web hosting providers guarantee between 99% and 99.9% uptime for their services. Although 99% may sound quite great, the number can be deceiving. The differences experienced by .9% for business owners and customers alike can be huge, greatly impacting the level of commerce and satisfaction.
99.99% Uptime: There are approximately 4.38 minutes of downtime per month or .073 hours per month, which is equal to 52.56 minutes per year or .876 hours per year
• 99.95% Uptime: Approximately 21.9 minutes per month or .365 hours per month, which is equal to 262.8 minutes per year or 4.38 hours per year
• 99.9% Uptime: Approximately 43.8 minutes per month or .73 hours per month, which is equal to 525.6 minutes per year or 8.76 hours per year
• 99.5% Uptime: Approximately 219 minutes per month or 3.65 hours per month, which is equal to 2628 minutes per year or 43.8 hours per year
• 99% Uptime: Approximately 438 minutes per month or 7.3 hours per month, which is equal to 5256 minutes per year or 87.6 hours per year.

CMSTech,
you are right, not every game at BestBuy that is "new" in 2007 will require DX10.
Just the games worth playing.

rijp ,
my comments are in line with the discussion, even tho other people have taken the discussion in a different direction then what this article started as.
aparently you need a new file system in your head. seems you cant process or find relational data. try installing google desktop on your brain, your local Dr. can help.
and since Vista and DirectX 10 are a match required by Microsoft, i can not see how you believe they are totally unrelated to each other.
if DX10 was available for windows xp, i am sure that Microsoft would not get all the $ from every PC gamer in the country who wants to play the new Half Life 2 addon. People would stay with XP and keep their cash. But, that is not the fact of the matter. The fact is DX10 requires Vista, hence the relationship of my points.
