This is just plain cool!! The interface is Fast, Smooth & clean. Can't wait for the final version. I used Windows Blinds a few months ago and ran into some compatible problems, lets hope those issues have been resolved.

  2. Comment - T-Mobile to sell picture frames with their own phone numbers

Oh.. and can't you just wait to see all those great spam advertisements pop onto your picture frame about where/how to buy viagra or cialis.

This is a product with a great initial concept, but ultimately will lead to its misuse.

And someone tell Thanhvn to learn how to type, is there a way to ban/block his postings "mark him as a spammer".

You need to qualify that statement. For years MAC has had the reputation of the "dumb-man's computer", because they were designed for any first time user to learn to use very quickly.

  4. Comment - Cable TV and FiOS price probe under way

I'd like to also see them break-up the monopoly these companies have on 'zones', cities, etc. Where the consumer has no choice. I personally wanted Verizon FIOS, but had to get UVERSE from AT&T because AT&T zoned my area of town before Verizon could.

  5. Comment - Verizon-Alltel merger approved by DOJ, but with conditions

I'll just be happy when they quit "zone" controlling cities.

For example.. I'd love to get Verizon FIOS, but I was told Verizon can't market in my city because AT&T UVERSE already had my zone/city. This frustrates the hell out of me [cable companies do it too].

I dont want to have to choose WHERE I live just to be able to use a service, I want to live anywhere I darn well can afford/want too and select who I want as my content provider (Internet and/or TV signals].

This would be great as it would allow you to actually have best of what is available and price.

Example.. Cable in my area offers their internet 10meg connections at $35, but Phone company (AT&T in this case) only has 6meg connections at this price.

So it'd be nice to get the 10meg internet from the local cable company and get my HiDef TV from AT&T Fiber Optic as the Phone company Fiber Optic quality is superior to what the local Cable companies are providing.

  6. Comment - PDC 2008: Windows 7 will add a 'volume knob' to UAC

Just add simple options inheirent to different user types, like.. "[x] I'm a gamer, dont bug me when I load-up [Insert Game here]".

Allow the user to setup a list of installed games [i.e. WoW.exe], but ADDITIONALLY allow the user to turn on/off validating the file size & date stamp of the .exe load file before allowing it to be successfully added to the "Load it and dont' bug me again list" and then encourage game developers to establish a universal protocal to publish verification/validation info for there data files (size/date stampings and/or their 'certificates of authenticity' validations. This way if the load exe file changes due to patch/update/upgrade/downgrade its easy to look-up and validate the change as being authentic and added back to the 'safe use -- dont bug me until next patch/upgrade change again.

I dont think its rocket science to setup an infrastructure like this or something similar to minimize 'annoyance' and keep/improve protection at the same time.
