  2. Review - FileZilla Server

    0.9.29 (Nov 10, 2008)

    Hey Reverb,

I do a lot of backups using True Image and FileZilla as the FTP recipient. I know backing up works flawlessly, but I'm not sure about restoring. Are you sure there are problems? I have True Image 9 and 11 and both seem to work fine for me. Also I should note, I'm doing this over a 100 to 1000Mbit LAN vs. WAN (aka Internet).

    Thanks,
    Christian

I love this program, but it's not perfect. My big complaint is that you can't make multi-session DVDs at this time. Aside from that it's very similar to a classic version of Roxio easy CD-Creator.

This is the best tool for being OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) about what programs load automatically. In addition to controlling more startup avenues than MSCONFIG, it'll tell you whether the file exists, who made it, etc. and thank goodness it doesn't leave behind that obnoxious warning message that MSCONFIG is notorious for. You only need a customer to run into that message once before you'll avoid using it. Not that I don't know how to go into the registry and remove the msconfig entry manually.

    Hi Developer,

Since you're obviously a newbie when it comes to Windows programming "File" the current name for that menu item should be "&File" that will make it keyboard accessible. All items beneath it should have a unique letter underlined:
    &Copy
    &Move
    &Delete

In terms of the keyboard shortcuts have a look at Explorer and Notepad and the Windows help (Search for Keyboard shortcuts) system to figure out what the conventions are. For example f3=find and f2 =rename.

    Cheers,
    Christian

Clean Coal? What the heck? Who are these advertisers? First Barack Obama has ad banners on here and now we have the paradoxical clean coal. Coal is about as clean as someone with emphysema's lungs. Not so coincidentally, Barack voted pro coal, pro nuclear, anti-solar, and anti-wind. Just one of the many reasons I'm against him. That being said he's better than McCain, but you're still a total puppet if you're voting for either of them. It's not like Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Ralph Nader aren't all better options. Voting for the lesser of two evils, is still voting for evil.

My Creative Labs Muvo can record FM, so ask me if I care if they'll help you buy what I can get for free.
