  1. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.01 Build 8505 Beta (Jun 23, 2006)

Great brwoser, but is it only me where Opera 9 crashes/hangs after a couple of minutes? Opera 8 is fine, no problem, same with Firefox. I was hoping they would fix it for the final, but it seems to be a problem of Opera 9 in combination with my machine.

  2. Review - YamiPod for Windows

    0.92.1 (Feb 13, 2006)

    Yes,

It works with an Ipod shuffle. It's a good program, but it's missing a feature that I am missing dearly to use it with my shuffle: Auto fill. It's great to just plugin the Shuffle and have it filled with random songs by iTunes. I could not figure out whether that is possible with Yamipod.

  3. Review - OpenOffice.org for Windows

    2.0.139 Beta (Nov 15, 2005)

I don't get it... hasn't OpenOffice 2.0 gone final a couple of weeks ago?

  4. Review - Process Explorer

awesome tool... much better than the task manager, but more for heavy weight use.

To keir: Use unlocker (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/), heck of a lot easier.

  6. Comment - Microsoft Looks to Cell Phones for Poor

    4.0 MCE Beta 2 (Jan 31, 2006 - 2:33 PM)

Ridiculous... amazing how disconnected MS is from reality. Nobody in the developing world want to use a cellphone as a computer any more than people in the developed world. Give me a break, connect a cellphone to a keyboard and TV? Could it be any more clumsy? Ever tried to read text on a TV screen? What applications should run on this cellphone? Let me guess, Windows CE of course. Well, plenty of cheap software available that runs well on a TV and is reasonable to use. If not, I am sure MS will have some special price offers for poor people, like 10% rebate on Office TV edition for Windows CE.

"... across the fast FOOT giant's stores." :-)

  8. Comment - Google Web Accelerator Draws Concern

    4.0 MCE Beta 2 (May 6, 2005 - 4:34 PM)

I just checked out the referrer issue. The referrers still seem to be correct, at least when you really click on the page. In addition, referrer is different from originating IP address, which is masked when you use some proxy-based privacy tool, like JAP. (http://tinyurl.com/33b6r)

  9. Comment - Microsoft Widens Download Checkpoint

    4.0 MCE Beta 2 (Oct 28, 2004 - 7:10 PM)

Well, it actually rejects my key right now, although it is perfectly legal. But I also do think that Microsoft has every right in the world to do that.
