Hear hear to -Lord-. The omission of a changelog anywhere is an unforgivable sin.
Otherwise? it does what it should.

I applaud the developers of this software for... well... developing this software and in no way wish to discourage their efforts. Still, I have a lot of complaints. The gui is sadly lacking in options, primarily I'd like a way to turn off the prompt to scan every external media every time I insert it. Also it's in no way light on resources. On my other two machines I use AVG free and NOD32 and both are considerably lighter on both memory and cpu usage. Maybe this uses less than Norton or McAfee but that's not saying much. I've been using the previous version (1.0.0.132) for about a week and decided to uninstall before upgrading to this version. I used the uninstall from the start menu (the only entry the software actually placed there), not only did it leave files behind (at least the uninstaller told me it left files behind) but after rebooting I got an error message about the missing files. The uninstaller had left entries both in MSCONFIG and in Services, fortunately I made a full image backup prior to installing. As for CLAMAV's detection rate it's something of a catch-22. It's not likely to get much better until more users start using it, but more users aren't likely to start using it until it gets better. I can't recommend this software for anyone who doesn't have a spare/test box but hope anyone who can continue to test it will.
