1.2 Beta 2 (Oct 2, 2007)
Ok, not to be a "basher" or anything, But in all honesty, it just doesn't work!
Requires QuickTime Alternative, downloaded it and installed it, and it still doesn't work! The "make sure you check the additional plug-in's option.." info...didn't see any "additional plug-in's" option, but I did install everything that I could! No joy!
If a freeware app requires another freeware app...how bout building it in, or make it part of the install to obtain the correct version and have it installed correctly during the setup of your freeware app?
This one needs some polishing.
There are so many of these kind of freeware MPEG editor apps out there that promise "one app shopping" that will "do everything", that just don't. Maybe someone could actually write one of these apps that does everything it says?
Kudos on a nice structure, and app design. I am not a developer, so my hat goes off to anyone that can/does write software. I surely can't do it!

1.2 Beta 2 (Dec 28, 2007 - 7:06 AM)
Ok, got 2 comments (just comments, not trying to start a war...much) :-)
1. I have NO PROBLEM with Apple stock going to $200 (or $400, or $4 for that matter...) what I have a problem with is that some yahoo in Pakistan gets offed, and that causes Apple (and the Tech industry as a whole...or any other market for that matter...) to tank? What the heck does that have to do with anything? It is sad, don't get me wrong, but it has zero to do with Apple, or GE, or Exxon, or Cardinal, etc.! Gotta agree with another poster, the whole idea of "stocks" is a bit disconnected from what they are supposed to be based on. The "value" of a company...not whether the Spice Girls tour is doing well! (obvious exaggeration, but mark my words, if it tanks somewhere....stocks will fall, and I don't mean just their record company, I mean everything!)
2. 5 years ago, Apple made (what appeared to be...) a cleaner product (design wise), supported it well (supposedly), and their price difference made (to some people, probably not me...) some sense. Special processor, special OS, special add-on cards, special I/F (Firewire, etc.), things were very DIFFERENT from WinTel/etc. because from the ground up they were different. Therefore price could logically be different because the product looked/felt/was different...
But now (Mac folks...) the hardware is Intel, the OS is Linux (don't start...you know it is just Linux with a dedicated dev team behind it....), the add-on cards/periph/etc. are the same as WinTel (for the most part) and you can run Windows natively on the same hardware that has a Mac sticker on the front!! NOW...(again Mac folks...) I think you should feel ripped off!
Kinda like American automobile companies saying they want to move production to Mexico, China, wherever the heck else so that they can make the vehicles "cheaper" for the American consumer....but the prices of their vehicles KEEP GOING UP! (oh, and by the way they lay off some poor guy/gal that has been turning a wrench for the last 20 years and making $40k doing it...now what are they supposed to do? With the overabundance of "manufacturing" jobs, they can just get another one huh! NOPE!)

"486SX was not a FAILED 486DX, it was a deliberately disabled version..."
Hee hee hee, did you actually just say that? I used to "repair" motherboards for a fairly successful computer manufacturer....I can assure you that you are correct! Kinda..
They most certainly were "deliberately" disabled...after they FAILED as DX chips! Everyone did it at the time, Cyrix, AMD, and
Intel...but Intel came up with it (kinda) first.
There is some argument that the transition from 386 with an external mathco to a 486 with an integrated mathco didn't go as well as planned.
Let's not forget that Intel is not without it's "shipping with errors" history...but with the marketing they have they can survive...Love AMD (for competitions sake if nothing else), but they need some more marketing $$ focus or they are going to be in a LOT more trouble than they are now!
Just my opinion...
1.2 Beta 2 (Jan 23, 2006 - 10:09 AM)
Ok, we can all bash each and every console in some way, I am sure of it.
And if we try hard enough we probably could find where they differentiate from each other. In fact we could even probably point out where/how one is better than the other.
BUT...make no mistake. EVERY console maker wants to be Nintendo when they grow up some day! MS and Sony are trying to one up each other on their consoles every time they build a new one. But NEITHER of them have achieved the game dedication that Nintendo has, and might not ever achieve it. Not for lack of trying, and not for lack of capability. Sometimes you just can't beat the guy that was there first! Plain and simple!
Mario, Pokemon, etc. All you can say is WOW! The public dedication to those two games is ASTONISHING to say the least! Try as you might, and being honest with yourself....no other console/game has the dedication by the public that those two have! Not yet anyway!
What other portable console competes with the Gameboy Advance/SP? NOBODY! Who is trying to compete with the Gameboy? NOBODY! (and please don't say Sony with the PSP! I own one, and I LOVE it, and it BLOWS the Gameboy away for me...but my kids have GB SP's and they like my PSP for a change but the ALWAYS go back to their GB's!).
Nintendo has their market...make no mistake. And unless they flat out fall on their face...They will NEVER lose it!
Just my 2C!
God Bless!
