  1. Review - Mozilla Firefox for Windows (v3)

    3.0.15 (Oct 28, 2009)

Why is this version of Firefox still being developed? Considering Firefox is used by very few businesses and is used mostly for personal use there is no reason to continue to fix bugs once a new version (like 3.5 or 3.6 for example) comes out. Firefox is the best web browser ever invented, but three stars for an useless update.

  2. Review - FreeBSD

    8.0 RC2 (Oct 27, 2009)

This is an excellent server operating system, but one of the worst desktop operating systems ever created. FreeBSD needs to stop trying to be everything for everyone and focus solely on being a server operating system since that is the only thing it is good at. Mac OS X is the only decent desktop Unix OS and even that is not a very good one compared to Windows 7 and Vista.

  3. Review - Opera for Windows (Beta)

    10.10 Build 1833 Beta 1 (Oct 14, 2009)

A one because this web browser and all others are inferior to IE 8, except Mozilla's web browsers.

  4. Review - Adobe Reader Lite

    9.2.0.30 (Oct 14, 2009)

What a waste of time. Sounds like somebody has way too much time on their hands. This is about as pointless as wasting time creating a lite version of Windows XP or Windows 7, both of which are already blazing fast, like the original version of Adobe Acrobat Reader is. Seriously, if your computer can't run the full Adobe Reader 9.1 software at a decent speed then stop being such a cheapskate and buy a new computer. You can't have fast performance from any software if your WinXP machine only has 256MB or less of RAM.

  5. Review - Panda USB Vaccine

    1.0.1.4 (Oct 7, 2009)

What a piece of crap! You can get real antivirus software for free like Avast or AVG that automatically scan USB storage devices for viruses when you plug them in. A utility that simply disables autorun and does nothing else is a complete waste of time.

  6. Comment - Apple's App Store hits 100K apps: News or rhetoric?

    1.0.1.4 (Nov 5, 2009 - 1:04 AM)

Java has always been really, really slow compared to a platform dependent language like C or its variants or even assembly language.

  7. Comment - Apple's App Store hits 100K apps: News or rhetoric?

    1.0.1.4 (Nov 5, 2009 - 12:50 AM)

That's too bad. If someone is stupid enough to click on a button for a $999 app just to see if the button really works they shouldn't get their money back.

  8. Comment - Performance drain: The first public perception test of the Windows 7 era

    1.0.1.4 (Nov 4, 2009 - 3:02 PM)

You're wrong. Microsoft tags updates for auto download if they're either recommended or critical.

  9. Comment - Performance drain: The first public perception test of the Windows 7 era

    1.0.1.4 (Nov 4, 2009 - 3:01 PM)

Windows Vista and 7 have already been proven to be much more secure than Mac OS X because Windows has address space randomization. When it comes to security Apple is extremely lazy. Nobody wants to hack Mac OS X because it's too easy compared to Windows Vista or 7.

  10. Comment - Performance drain: The first public perception test of the Windows 7 era

    1.0.1.4 (Nov 4, 2009 - 2:57 PM)

That's probably because you told your computer to launch IE first.
