@ E.T. probably tested it under 2 minutes?
Disable gif animations is something different than disabling images...
Next time choose setup centre, general and select Disable GIF Animations.

To be honest.. I'm not really impressed. 10 months of development and all they came up with is a pre-beta version from with you can only send IM's. No email notification, voicechat, videochat, games etc. Even the sidebar widget thingy isn't working. The only thing I am positive about is that there are no ads in this version ;)
2.0.6.8942 Beta (Dec 3, 2007)
@ Kokol: Put in the least standard compliant and most bugged rendering engine you can find on the market? Since when is IE the least standard complient rendering engine? Gawd and you dare to call yourself a developer? Glad you're not working for my company!. Sure this versions still has some minor bugs, hence why they decided to name it a... wait for it ... Beta. Who would have guessed that huh.

tectonic plate separation is possible, but 4 cables...on opposite sides the Arabic peninsula...that would be very unlikely. As for Industrial espionage, why 4 cables? I mean these cables are huge, we're talking STM-64 to STM-265 levels of traffic, which are huge amounts of data, of varying types.
2.0.5.7684 (Feb 4, 2008 - 12:55 PM)
Why the worries about outsourcing? I think the main question should be why and how did 4 cables break within a timespan of 48 hours.
One cable, sure that's bad luck, two would be extreme bad luck but four... that's weird.

Yep, they do, the Socom Headset.
Although the Skype application will only be available for the PS2000 (Slim) and not for the PS1000 (classic) due to memory usage

Wow, 10 months after their 1st announcement that the 1st Beta would be available soon, they managed to get out a pre-beta release which looks more or less like an empty shell. It's easier to sum up what actually works with this release then to mention what doesn't work yet. You can send an IM to your friends and that's basically it... Not bad for 10 months of development. Probably takes them another 10 months before they release a Beta version which could be rigged with bugs.

The only things unlocked are the killing scenes, the rest is still kinda "sensored". Mind you, they sensored it nicely, it hasn't bothered me sofar :)
