i dunno what the big deal is with everyone giving msn mess a bad score, it works great for what it is and for people to say its "bloated" dont use it, remember there is Windows mess witch has the complete basics, for those who say its "buggy" all software is to a point so get over it, or just maybe its not the msn mess but maybe all that spyware junk thats already on your pc. Use it or dont use it but stop complaining!
EDIT
from Mess.be
.... But I received a few remarks from people who tried to download MSN Messenger 7.5.0299 and got stuck with a previous version. That's because from version 7.5 on, MSN Messenger is Windows XP-only, confirming a rumor from last month. If you own a different version of the Windows operating system, you will have to keep using MSN Messenger 7.0.0816.

you should go through your preferences and de-select yahoo insider, i have the latest version of both yahoo im and msn mess, and i have no adds with yahoo and only small adds on msn main buddy list. i always might add that when you are using the newer versions of msn and yahoo during a voice session or webcam use, both can easily go well over 18mb each in memory. just thought i might add that in.
