Digsby has a whole new installer and is alot easier. It does by no means come with any bad software. It is perfectly safe to use Digsby.
KBSOFTWARE.. Prove its unsafe? Show me any smidgen of evidence? You CANT.. Because your just trying to trash a perfectly good piece of software for no reason.
9.0.0.710 Beta (Sep 19, 2009)
So the simple fact of having more than just Anti-virus its bloat? Kaspersky does have a separate AV product that is JUST AV.
1.2 Build 3 (Aug 13, 2009)
"Dohickey", I appoligize for not getting back to you sooner. But, open up the options window, click on miscellaneous on the left towards the bottom and the checkbox for show splash screen is the first one on the list. Uncheck it and you will not see the splash screen anymore.. And yes, turning it off does make it faster, since it has one less thing to load when opening.
1.2 Build 1 (Jul 15, 2009)
DoHicky, you can turn off the splash screen from within Misc in the Options Window. You can also select Windows Live Mail by adding it to the "Other Program" option instead of Outlook Express.

These idiots don't know what they are talking about.. There is nothing wrong with the Vista Codec Package. I've literally been using it since around the version 3 days.. This IS a trusted pack and IS just as popular as Klite or CCCP..
Try this for yourself and don't listen to the idiots trying to advertise for their own codec packs on the competitors review section..

They actually only got one of the patents they are using in the last few days.

I think there is a need for software patents to a certain extent, but I think patent hoarders like Eolas should not be allowed to exist(if what Ive heard is true where they collect patents that others outside the company has made.
My proposal would be that only the individual or company who had a hand in development of whatever is being patented should have the right to own the patent. If that can't happen then the patent should be forfeited. Obvious exceptions are if that particular company merges or gets bought out. If a company owns patents and that company goes out of business, no one should beable to buy those patents for themselves and profit from them because they don't deserve any money that they get from it or any money they receive from defending that patent in court.

Yes you can get the $50 upgrade if you have XP. You just won't beable to do a update from XP. You will have to install win7 on a clean drive(w/o putting your key in) and then once your finished. Do it all over again but upgrade from the Win 7 desktop and this time put your key in. This is the method of having a clean install with an upgrade. It was the same way with Vista.
5.3.3 (Jun 24, 2009 - 2:52 AM)
Of course Acer had to include the crappy Z520.. No one wants to use the infintely better z530 in their netbook, its rare. If they use the z line at all. My opinion, if your going to use the z520 then why not just put the same old N270 or the new N280..
Anyway, dracodos.. Alot of people bag on Vista for netbooks but my netbook with a N270 Atom and 2GB ram can run Vista just fine. Now them using the 520 might make a difference, it being a slower processor and all.

There has to be at least some sympathy for them since they are the only true rental store left in alot of places. What, you then are left with paying a monthly fee or renting downloads from Amazon.
