If it's doing what it's supposed to be doing, it's doing it very quietly, and I'm giving it a five.
10.10 Build 1799 Beta (Sep 25, 2009)
Long time Opera user from way back. Still try every version, alpha, beta you name it, I'll try it. It was the best, now it's not, couple of major problems which they have been unable to fix that appeared after Opera 8.54. Firstly the page loading freeze with the last few elements hanging is very annoying, and secondly it fails to connect correctly to secure sites like your bank all the time. The first one is just irritating, the second one is worrying, you pop over to check if you have any money in your account, and suddenly realize that the padlock in Opera has been replaced by a question mark, and that question mark tells you Opera has not loaded correctly and you could be in trouble. Clicking reload fixes the glitch, but it's not noticing the glitch in the first place that could be your downfall. Fortunately it won't be my downfall as I use Chrome to visit my bank, it always loads the page correctly.
4.6.0.19 (Sep 24, 2009)
Still the best, and it's free.
TomWibbaert "It's just a honeypot to get you to dish out money for the paid version which is just a crap as the free.
They don't do a paid version, get your facts right before you post such piffle.
mancubs "last time i use it it f,./k up the comp"
That was last time, you're supposed to be reviewing this time. So install it, try it, and then if you still have a problem pop back.
Rampage "This application is just as secure as a BSOD"
So why did you give it two stars ? Have you actually tried this version ? Thought not.
Well I have tried it, and it's superb,it's completely free so you have nothing to lose by giving it a whirl.
3.0.195.21 Final (Sep 16, 2009)
Fast and safe, it's my default. I'll give it a five, tried all the rest but I just keep coming back to Chrome.
10.00 Build 1733 RC (Aug 26, 2009)
Been using the beta 3, and was amazed at how much faster this latest offering was. So I'll give it a 4, if they ever fix that annoying hanging on the last element it'll get a 5, but not until.
10.00 Build 1733 RC (Nov 20, 2009 - 11:45 AM)
PC_Tool "This will work perfectly as a VM (Well, for me, anyway). I have VBox set up on my work system (seamless) so that I can be connected to my Work Network (host) and our "contractor" DSL (guest) at the same time. (Helps me get around the speed limitations of our corporate network for file transfers and obviously, bypassing the proxy is a bonus)"
Now that's just showing off.

PC_Tool "I don't ever see this taking off. "
Wrong, the O/S is to get you on-line, all else is in the clouds. Google will succeed, as will numerous versions of Linux. It's the time of the small O/S, bit like a browser, we'll be switching and b****ing about this O/S or that. I believe it was Shakespeare who said, just get me on-line and my stuff will be remembered for ever.

I did.
10.00 Build 1733 RC (Nov 19, 2009 - 6:13 AM)
Firefox beta worked well on my XP machine, but not at all on my Windows 7 machine. On the Windows 7 machine it just kept apologizing and closing down, all the time, so I dumped it. However the good news is that Opera has introduced a new beta for the discerning, and I will be using that instead, it apparently works on both Windows 7, and XP .

Yet another sharp and incisive piece of twaddle gawd21.
