DSL was my very first introduction to Linux. While it is obviously not for high end PC's, what it is able to do is amazing considering it's size. Easy to use and extremely safe to use.
If you've never tried Linux before, at least give this a shot.

Even though fiber has been run right through the town, Verizon will not bring internet to my small town. There's no cable company to speak of in my area. There are 3 cell towers within a half mile of my house and 3G coverage about 5 miles away. Still, no company will bring internet to my town. So my options were: Satellilte, Dialup, or a local guy who got fed up with not having anything and created his own wireless broadband.
So who builds the infrastructure and who maintains it all? Well, currently my town has started to build their own network. It's happening all over the nation. It's pretty much the only way the other 70% of the US population will ever get broadband access.

That would be sad if it were true. It is, however, not true at all. They had the server and they had backups. That's the exact opposite of "never considering a server failure".

"A Mac is everything Winblows is not, elegant, intuitive, secure, incredibly stable and simply the most advanced OS of any platform. Once you go Mac, you won't go back."
Elegance is a matter of opinion. I prefer the look of Vista to OSX.
Intuitive? Unless you're a monkey looking for the banana button, it's all about what you're used to.
Security...do you truly think OSX has no flaws? There will be a day when OSX reaches that critical point when the s*** storm begins. Until then hackers will continue to assault the OS with the leading market share.
Stability...I've manage to crash Vista x64 one time(and one time only) by using a 3rd party FOSS app. I'm willing to bet you've achieved at least this number, if not more. (or alternately simply do a search using your favorite search engine for OSX crash). I've managed to crash my Ubuntu x86 and x64 many orders of magnitude more.
OSX, crash different.

I know it's not free anymore, but I have 2 hotmail accounts and 2 yahoo accounts that do get free pop access. Google could, though I doubt they would, make all new accounts require a subscription for the service as well.

Seems like a really interesting concept to me. Screenshots look really nice too. I like the way the music flows. This is definitely getting added to my collection!
