    Note:
    - War-ftpd 1.82 RC10 is not beta
    - is always the best and high configurable Freeware-FTP-Server
    - secure, ... cause jgaa make next day an new release if a security-bug is known

  2. Review - Serv-U

    4.1.0.9 Beta (Nov 25, 2003)

    Serv-u 4.x is a good FTP-Server with a lot of usefull features e.g. users can search files with the SITE commnad SITE INDEX - great feature!.
    Although this FTP-Server is a good work I would never buy this, cause war-ftpd 1.82 RC2 include similar features and cost nothing and works great.
    Only one FTP is better I think --> BulletProofFTP, but this FTP include no Tool to administrate remotly

    COOL FTP and free Many languages available.
    Best simple FTP I tested (better then Pablos FTP)

    But for more features these FTP´s are better
    - War-ftpd (my favourite) (Freeware)
    - Cesarftp (Freeware)
    - BulletProof
    - Serv-U
    - BlackMoon FTP-Server

    I use war-ftpd since 2 years. Is a great FTP-Server for Windows. Stable and secure and a lot of features (Admin-Tool, ratio,[$user]-macro!).
    War-ftpd is similar how Serv-U 3/4. But war-ftpd is free.
    I testet a lot of Ftp-Server and I think war-ftpd is one of the best.
    But this Features I missing:
    - throttle bandwidth asynchronly (up/down)
    - quotas
