ModderXManiac, you forgot to check out the date of those reviews, they are AT LEAST two years old!
The Betanews staff needs to check the system requirements, STILL. The developers of this software don't support anything other than XP (http://www.bearshare.com/help.html#3). You've been told more than 2 years ago (repeatedly), clearly you STILL need to actually mark the entry properly before you post it.
Bearshare is still rubbish. Marked accordingly.

DatabaseBen doesn't know what he is talking about.
Belarc Advisor DOESN'T leave memory-resident processes that consume resources.
Obviously by giving out the freeware version, Belarc hope to get people to buy the paid-for version (which has more features). Just like all the other publishers who do exactly the same thing.
Seeing as it is explicity stated that it is free for personal use, that makes it plain that it should not be installed on business PCs. It is the responsibility for businesses to lock down their own PCs so that this (and many other unauthorised) product cannot be installed. Just like how they should lock down their system to prevent unauthorised use of USB keys for example.
The application simply does what it says it's supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less.
9.0.9.4d (Oct 30, 2008)
It's OK software, but there's little to differentiate this with 8 or even 7. Takes waaaaaay too long to install too. They really need to dump the code and start from scratch.
The other problem with this version is that apparently if you have the download or trial version of Nero 9, you need to run the Nero CleanTool to uninstall Nero 9, then use this update to install it clean. Ridiculous.
From Nero pages:
"Nero 9 customers who purchased a Downloadable Version (not Retail Box) or currently have Nero 9 Trial version, must follow the steps below to take advantage of the latest Nero 9 Update
Step 1: Run the Nero Clean Tool - this uninstalls your previous version of Nero 9 in preparation for the current Nero 9 update. Nero Clean Tool will also uninstall the following applications - Nero Move it, Nero BackItUp 4 and Nero MediaHome 4 - if installed on your computer. Please make sure to keep record of your current serial numbers for reinstallation of these applications.
Step 2: Download and Install the latest Nero 9 Product Update.
Step 3: Enter in your current Nero 9 serial number to complete installation process.
Step 4: If you own other Nero products (such as Nero BackItUp, Nero Move it, Nero Media Home) you will need to reinstall these products individually."

alanpalmer, what's that got to do with Outlook Connector? Stick to comments about the app, not about anything else.
As for this app, does what it says on the tin.

aszure, you are completely wrong. An earlier version is NOT installed with Office 2007 Pro (or any version of Office). What you do get is a prompt to download and install it when you launch Outlook 2007. If you say no, you just get the regular built-in search.
As for this app, pretty good. Still not sure about the interface though (Copernic looks better) but on the whole it's pretty good.

Agreed. It's also inaccurate, especially about the bookmarks.
4.0 (Nov 7, 2009 - 9:10 AM)
Yes, the article is riddled with inaccuracies, like a lot of the articles on here. You can't trust a word any article writer says on here with gaping big holes in the accuracy of the story.

Selling Vista twice? Nope, it was released in the same manner as XP before it and 7 after it - RTM and offered to businesses and OEMs, then three months later it's sold to consumers.
This site is turning into The Sun and using a ton of weasel words and weasel sentences in order to discredit something specific.

Which is why all users should run a "limited user" account. Then, when they get a prompt, they'll have to do more than press "OK".

Shows how much you know, because the last OS to allow verification via a CD was XP.
