  1. Review - Yahoo! Messenger for Windows

    9.0.0.1389 Beta (May 31, 2008)

This new refresh of Build 922 is just a whole new messenger! Honestly, I am very surprised over the big changes that have been added. Build 922 had no games in it whatsoever, and we finally have games in here once again!

Also, from the looks of it, I believe Yahoo has a plan to allow custom theme downloads soon. Hopefully, we can get more information on this real quick!

But, the only thing at this point that is keeping it from getting a perfect score is the fact that their webcam broadcasting feature still isn't streamlined. While we can get image downloads every second, it should be streaming like Windows Live Messenger.

  2. Review - AOL Instant Messenger for Windows

    0.4.7 Beta (Aug 20, 2005)

Having AOL/AIM Triton so far has made things worse compared to the last full version of AOL Instant Messenger 5.9. As far as I'm concerned, having them redo their entire poor project of AOL Instant Messenger was somewhat a bad mistake. I've been using AOL Instant Messenger for about 6 years now, and this has got to be the worst beta I have ever tested.

Personally, the only thing I like of it so far is the XM Radio.

  3. Comment - New Xbox Experience opens, for some

    0.4.7 Beta (Nov 19, 2008 - 4:38 AM)

Actually, the information on this site is a little late. Major Nelson had announced the NXE Preview Program on October 24th. Users were greeted with the NXE that weekend.

On November 7th, they decided to do a "Phase 2". Users who originally applied for the NXE Preview Program would be eligible for Phase 2. No new applicants were allowed.

Finally, on November 13th, the third (and final) phase was made allowing over 10,000 original applicants to get the NXE early. Again, there were no new applicants allowed.

Then, finally on November 17th. The remaining applicants were given access to the NXE. As you can see, it was all in stages!

I gained access on November 13th and have enjoyed every minute of it!

  4. Comment - Eleven major soft spots addressed by latest Patch Tuesday

    0.4.7 Beta (Aug 13, 2008 - 10:03 PM)

Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 also had some critical updates as well.

  5. Comment - Qwest DSL gets a speed increase in ten US States

    0.4.7 Beta (Apr 28, 2008 - 11:59 AM)

I pay $46 a month with Comcast, and this is the result that I have gotten just 2 minutes ago:

    Download: 29.5 Mb/s
    Upload: 1.8 Mb/s

  6. Comment - Sprint Nextel to cut workforce, close underperforming stores

    0.4.7 Beta (Jan 19, 2008 - 8:01 AM)

Reading these comments reminds me of why I quit my job as a customer service rep for Sprint/Nextel. While the pay was good, it was just a complete joke of how these guys were training people who were in my position.

Oh, and the funny thing is that the "Now Hiring" sign has been posted on the building for nearly a year straight! What does that tell you?
