  1. Review - FlashCrypt

    1.0 Beta (Mar 11, 2008)

It does what it says. For what it offers, the installer is a bit big. Where they lose me is when they specify "Military-Grade encryption". That is pure snake oil. The author has no idea about the encryption the military use. Marketing a product with AES256 is one thing, coding a secure implementation of AES256 is another.

  2. Review - Paint.NET

    3.30.2980 Beta 1 (Mar 11, 2008)

Still awesome though I would like for them to have an option keep the ratio when resizing manually as well as better text support. Also, worth nothing that being beta, this is program suffers from crashes when using 3rd party plugins. So if you use a lot of plugins, it's best to use the stable.

  3. Comment - Has Yahoo Buzz beat Digg to the mainstream?

    3.30.2980 Beta 1 (Mar 18, 2008 - 2:27 AM)

    The site is very slow.

  4. Comment - Virtual nightclub launches a private beta for 'VIPs'

    3.30.2980 Beta 1 (Mar 18, 2008 - 2:25 AM)

This is one of the most horrific things I've ever seen.

    MAKE IT STOP!

  5. Comment - Google's Miner: We will outsell the iPhone

    3.30.2980 Beta 1 (Mar 14, 2008 - 6:04 PM)

Google has a great point. The iPhone is great, but Apple has too many restrictions on the sales and software of the device. The speed and flexibility of Android make for a deadly combo. I have used and love both devices, but with Android I don't have to switch cell carriers to get what I want.

  6. Comment - Can IBM bring back the mainframe with its 'screaming' z10?

    3.30.2980 Beta 1 (Feb 26, 2008 - 7:19 PM)

This is consistant with what I see in the industry. Investments in mainframes are going up. Companies have relied on MF for decades and feel that MF offer the best bang for your buck when all costs are added.
