This is a brief review of my own experirence from using the fortune3 online store software
Pros: - fast: windows based online store builders, uses the pc resources
- graphic interface to move-arrange products and categories using drag-and--drop
- easy data entry
- accepts large ecommerce web sites +10,000 products
- good looking templates
- database driven
- integrates with live shipping cost from fedex, ups, usps, dhl
- consolidates shipping in fewer boxes
- compatible with quickbooks and peachtree accounting software: import/export data from quickbooks and peachtree is easy, even the online store product information can be extracted directly onto the fortune3 program. shopping cart sales can also be exported to these accounting software
- paypal integration
- affiliates
- froogle integration
- imports - exports to spreadsheet
- comprehensive administration site
Complete and simple is what i' d say about this shopping cart - this is one of the few windows based online store builders that uses the pc resources - because it is a pc based program -not a web based shopping cart builder- you can use its graphic interface to move-arrange products and categories using drag-and-drop on what they call the product tree - so i believe this software was build in visual studio using access databases. Modifying and editing the online store results easy. Accepts a large website storefront - mine has 11,000 products: My data was imported from spreadsheet (using excel) - their stock templates (about 200) look good - many types. Appearance and performance compares to large corporations.
