You guys are way off base. Windows Media Player 9 series codecs are top notch and a quantum improvement over the earlier WMP codecs. There are numerous web sites providing 9 series content that Mac users have not been able to access. Microsoft has worked their butts off for over a year to create a first rate WMP9 for Mac that even supports Safari and all you can do is berate it. I can't believe you have tried it out and I wonder if you have ever viewed or listened to media encoded in WMA9 and WMV9. Microsoft has had a Windows Media Player version for the Mac for a number of years now. The new player is certainly not a response to iTunes. It's merely an upgrade to support the latest version of the WM codec.

Well.. I downloaded and installed this pack and don't really have anything to test it with or know what to look for anyway. It may just be me, but it seems my computer is a little snappier since the install for whatever reasons.

Actually Bill is not the most greedy person on the planet...he is the MOST philanthropic person on the planet. Do some research and then come back and name me one other individual responsible for more philanthropy?

I think that Verizon would be very pleased to give a free router to every Comcast cable customer who switches to EVDO in home wireless/wi-fi. They also want every cell phone user to switch to VCAST enabled EVDO cell phones. I don't think lack of network capacity is one of thier worries right now...it's lack of customers.
By the way...Verizon just lowered the price of EVDO broadband yesterday to $59 per month if you also have a Verizon voice plan.

You mean the Google which just announced another IPO cash grab? The Google who's stock bubble will burst at some point and leave lots of people with empty dreams? Is that the Angel you are referring to?

Did you say "volume leveling?" Or did you really mean to say dynamic range squasher?

Actually the world revolves around Redmond, WA USA. Would you expect the intitial beta to cover the entire globe immediately? I'm betting that when it's out of beta and actually released that the UK will more than likely be included. It kind of makes business sense to me to include the UK at some point even if it is a very small area on the globe.
