4.10.0 (Dec 28, 2005)
Their software has been very lukewarm lately and as they've improved the interface the product seems to be more sluggish.
As to the version number issue, the last version was listed as 4.9 and this one is 4.10. They should have either listed the last one as 4.09 or waited and released a major update bringing it to 5.0. That's an error of stupidity on their part.
Regardless, the product is the best viable product out there for MP3 sharing and just okay for sharing applications.
They could improve it further by allowing us to filter searches by file size, thus eliminating a lot of the bogus entries Limewire returns on its searches.

I upgraded from 9 to 10 and now none of my MP3's will play in MusicMatch.
Anyone got any fix ideas? clineto@yahoo.com
1.2 Build 33 RC1 (Dec 14, 2004)
I have not installed this because my Freeware program does the same exact things. SEMAGIC for LiveJournal does pretty much everything this program does.
7.3.3 (Dec 14, 2004)
Program installed without an issue, required a reboot. After reboot I tried to start the program via the desktop shortcut and it hard locked my machine. Program was running on a Dell Dimension 4600.
Program also uninstalled without an issue after reboot :-)

Uhm, BetaNews that is a really stupid question. Acquisitions happen all the time and this one is no different. The new customers sign up for Alltel, they are locked into a pricing and coverage model until the end of that contract, regardless of what company name is on their bill.
Honestly this won't be a big change for most people. Yes eventually contracts will expire and rates will change but coverage will remain the same. Alltel and Verizon already have roaming agreements with one another. Both networks are primarily CDMA with EVDO data coverage. This will go 10-million times smoother than that joke of a merger, what was that merger.....ohhhh yeah Sprint-Nextel :-)
As for the Verizon commercial, I think it will be more like:
Verizon Guy: Can you hear me now?
Chad: Yes, we can hear you now

Verizon settled because it doesn't want to deal with this crap and the upcoming merger. It's easier just to pay to shut up the whiny user.
Honestly if they would have fought it they probably would have won. All wireless contracts notify users of early termination fees if they opt to leave. You signed for it, you agree to it.

TiVo's main problem is their fees. A lot of people just want to pay one time for a DVR and be done with it.
The added ability of skipping commercials is nice but do you want to pay monthly for the feature?? No

I work for a wireless provider. Nokia is losing ground because their phones are BORING!! Even their new 6255 flip that we had was buggy. They need to diversify their and improve their flip phones as well as expand into the Smartphone/Pocket PC playground more.
