  1. Review - K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

    4.2.5 (Oct 27, 2008)

Anyone able to help with an issue?
I have an HP Pavilltion dv9815nr laptop with built-in webcam. After installing this version my HP Webcam preview in My Computer fails with "creation of video preview failed" ...
I've had this issue with other programs - uninstalling the offending program repairs the problem. I have tried different drivers, etc. What sort of file would cause the video preview to fail?
Can anyone provide some assistance on this ? I want the programs I have installed that cause this video preview problem and I want things to work properly :)

I'm sorry, but this is just a ridiculous "story" and his little need to be here.

You know NOTHING about the legal system do you dude (Paul Skinner)? You actually believe that people are sued for actual cost of items stolen or costs incurred ? Pretty naive...

Grow up folks. Each country has it's own rights and freedoms or lack thereof. I live in China right now and in fact, YouTube is not accessible except by proxy.

How, pray tell, would MONITORING slow the internet? And, for that matter, how would the inability to get to a page or two, make the internet slower ? That makes no sense.

In fact, the "great firewall" is completely bypassable. To be honest, there is very little I'm unable to see because of government intervention. The things that are banned are basically things I don't give a crrrrap about. When needing to get to something that is blocked, a simple proxy, shell, etc are entirely usable. There is no blocking of files sharing such as torrent, etc.

It's seemless for the most part

Come on over to China folks. I have a 10 MB (megabyte, not megabit) line in my complex and I pay the equivalent of $180 per YEAR with no limits of control. Sure as hell beats the numbers discussed here like I had when I still lived back home in Texas.
