  1. Comment - Microsoft on Win7 Beta: 'The download experience was not ideal'

    (Jan 12, 2009 - 3:22 PM)

downloaded it thursday evening through my technet plus account. no problems there.

testing it on a Dell Precision M70 hardest component to find drivers for was the quadro FX Go1400 video driver. was able to get it to work by using the original windows XP driver from Dell and then updated it to a beta driver through the driver update from microsoft. system only has 1 GB of ram and a 1.6 GHz Pentium-M processor. because of the processor it only scores about 1.5 for the rating. isn't as smooth as XP on this system but it seems to run a heck of a lot better than windows vista SP1 did when I tried it on this same test box

  3. Comment - Former AT&T Customers Sue Cingular

    (Jul 7, 2006 - 2:33 PM)

is this a class action law suit? If so can someone provide contact info to join it? My wife signed a AT&T contract literally 2 weeks before the merger and was forced to endure exponentially reduced service because she refused to pay to convert her phone over to Cingular and sign a new contract with them. This continued until finally her old AT&T phone quit working totally and she was forced to have to purchase a new phone from Cingular. By then her 1 year contract had expired and they tried to force her to sign a new contract and would not sell her a phone at full price without signing a contract. She finally had to complain to the store manager who had to call cingular headquarters to be told that she had the right to not sign a contract and could purchase a new phone for full price without renewing her contract.
