  1. Review - Adobe Reader for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/2008

    8.0.0 (Dec 5, 2006)

Defiantly the best version of Acrobat Reader released to date. It is much faster than previous versions and sports a great new UI.

  2. Review - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Mac OS X

    Beta 3 (Jun 14, 2006)

A beta version for Windows is still in development. You can sign up to get news about it on the products web site - http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom/.

  3. Review - RealPlayer for Windows

    10.5 Build 6.0.12.1059 (Mar 2, 2005)

RealPlayer has come along way in the past few releases and it not nearly as bad (in fact, it's actually quite good) as many people say. I have far less problems with this than I do with QuickTime. Of course if you are the sort of person who likes a more advanced application, with a more minimal interface, which does only what you need then Media Player Classic is a better alternative. I don’t know the problem is for some people but its not slow for me nor does it steal file associations (assuming you take the time, about 2-6 seconds, to uncheck which file types you don’t wanted associated with RealPlayer).

  4. Review - eXPad

    0.3 Prefix (Jan 31, 2005)

Not really an overly clever move releasing a program that depends on version 2 of the .NET Framework, as it only exists in beta form itself.

As for the software, it’s more of a gimmick than anything else, and one where the novelty wears off pretty quick.

  5. Review - eXeem

    0.20 Public Beta (Jan 21, 2005)

There is a big difference between Spyware and the included Cydoor (which is Adware, only going as far as displaying ads in the application window). Users found to be using the "lite" version will also be banned from the network.

  6. Comment - Apple Offers Peek at Mac OS X 'Leopard'

    0.20 Public Beta (Aug 7, 2006 - 7:07 PM)

It's even better watching you, you get yourself 'going' to get in a 'spin' all by yourself. Quite comical.

  7. Comment - Microsoft Lists SP2 Incompatibilities

    You have heard wrong

  8. Comment - Microsoft Reloads Windows XP

    0.20 Public Beta (Mar 2, 2004 - 12:33 AM)

Its purpose would be to replace the shelf product of XP to include all current updates, which can be downloaded for free (think Windows98 Seccond Edition) for existing XP users. If you already have Windows XP there would simply be no need to buy it. This is no "money spinner", it justs a good idea for people in the market for a new PC or a copy of Windows XP.

  9. Comment - Sun Brings Java Desktop to Wal-Mart Shelves

It will play what every other repacked (clone) of linux will play.

  10. Comment - Messenger Upgrade to Disconnect Outsiders

    0.20 Public Beta (Aug 24, 2003 - 2:18 AM)

Don't cry about it, and just install the new version.
