I though Real already blew the windows media player case out the window with the amazing email from Rob Glaser to Steve Jobs... (in which real basically said drop i-tunes (adopt the RealPlayer) and join with us against microsoft, or we will join up with microsoft and destroy you)
then with Steve Jobs having an even bigger ego, he went out and distributed the email to various people...

if you try to clean up guns on the street by bombing the neighborhood, that's not cool.
He did try to get rid of OTHER bad things, but in the process did just as much damage himself, some say more...

Here at the company I work for, we are just now going to XP with AD2003. we still have lots of NT, 2000 and XP, we are buying all Dell GX280's with the phaseout of on site support staff, (and Dell taking everything over from the support side) everyone is gettin 2.8Ghz computers on their computers, and half the apps run off servers anyway, so you have no need for that much power, and forget longhorn. This business is going to ignore that, and possibly the one after, then take the 3rd as the next OS.
This works, it runs everything we have, it doesn't make business sense to move to longhorn or 64 bit processors.

i hate extra stuff...
i'm ok unchecking all this to not install it, bu there are soooo many people that figure since it's checked it MUST be good... i hate this tactic... but it's better than Itunes and quicktime recently... you don't get the option for itunes...
so not AS evil, but still evil. "It's the diet coke of evil."

wow....
win xp .. is unreliable and unstable, and not to mention that the users are still bombarded with the "Blue Screen Of Death".
Your users still are "bombarded" by blue screens than you changed stuff around... by default you don't see blue screens, the computer resets instead unless you purposely disable it...
all the hours u put into reformatting the hard drive, installing OS, etc. have gone 2 waste and u have to start all over.
all the hours... how many hours are you talking about? you start a format, and then just stare at it the whole time? amazing...
under its shell, it sucks. and u cant use those improvements to say winxp is better. win2k has even won awards for it security, and what has xp got
something that got an award 5 years ago is by no means top of the line anymore... think about it...
my suggestion would be to learn more about XP and take a little time to think before spouting off...
