Best there is, always getting better, and it's FREE!
8.00 Beta 5 (Oct 9, 2008)
I've been using this program for almost 3 years now and I love it. I don't get all the negative remarks and votes. Must be some sort of editor envy. Considering all the awards this program is winning, and how good the usability is, me thinks someone has an axe to grind. 2 thumbs up, way up. Give it a try, don't rely on the negative nancies.
2.42.01 (Oct 5, 2008)
Been using for over 2 years (leaving HyperSnap & SnagIT behind). I originally got a free license by emailing the author and asking for it. It is that simple, for people that aren't too lazy to do so. I made a donation almost a year later for it's usefulness, but you DON'T have to. Call it donationware, freeware, whatever you want (for the retentive zealots). Great software, although the recent versions have been much more sluggish after v2.37.03
4.42 Beta 4 (Jun 21, 2008)
It looks as though someone is slowly sabotaging the vote for this program. I can't believe it would ever average under a 4.0 (nor that 424 people have voted) I won a license as a user on the DonationCoder website about 2 years ago. This program saves so me so much time every day. I mainly use it to check for changed prices on various websites, along with software updates that I am interested in. Great stuff 5.0 all the way!
1.1b (1.1.2.19) (Mar 3, 2008)
Very powerful, good stuff. Happily registered user for over 3 years. Nothing like its scripting capability and tabbed user interface (multi-threaded) so I DON'T have to open multiple instances. Priceless.

I think Sony really has HD-DVD by the balls with Blu-Ray. So people may have to wait 3-6 months longer for Blu-Ray to come into the game (which I doubt). First off MOST people aren't ready to move on from DVD to a new media yet, aren't gonna pay for a new player & don't have the high definition set-up to utilize these new technologies. Blu-Ray offers double the storage. They may only have 40% of the market share of movie distribution, but as soon as people realize how much more quality and features can/will be offered on Blu-Ray discs, HD-DVD will be on its way down already. Also, greater size will win-out for computer users too (not to mention the immediate availability of Blu-Ray recorders). Given the supposed reliability of the TDK (i think that's right) disc protection for the very thin layer over the bits of data on Blu-Ray, they have overcome what HD-DVD probably figured was one of its greatest risks of deployment for Blu-Ray. With a little patience on the part of Sony, their backers and from consumers, I think this is one case where everyone can afford to wait. I have an HD Projector and I have no problem waiting for Blu-Ray and its 40% share of movies, because that WILL change.
