   I've been using the alpha for quite some time (3536 had problems with HT). 3537 beta doesnt have those problems anymore. Great drivers.

   The Pro version costs money because they (Nullsoft) have to pay royalties for each copy of Winamp that can encode MP3s. It is NOT a fee for the program itself, Winamp is and will remain free.

   Seems to be quite good at getting rid of the spam. It may not be perfect, but it catches the spam quite efficiently and I have yet to see it trash a real email.

   Yes, its a hack. You dont know anything about WindowBlinds if you think that 1) WindowBlinds takes less memory and 2) WindowBlinds is faster. StyleXP replaces a DLL (modified DLL that is ran EVEN if you run WindowBlinds). You don't know anything about the technology of XP if you think WindowBlinds takes less memory. WindowBlinds re-draws over the windows, it doesnt "make up windows". Therefore, each window is drawn twice.

   French and English are not related in any way other than being old languages that have changed a lot over time. Altho now they seem to be "cousins". There aren't many words in french with the letter W, and even less starting with W.
   
   Not bashing at anyone here, I just find this stuff interesting.

   So you're asking Microsoft to stop being compatible because they got too good at it? Or perhaps Microsoft should wait until the other OS caught up? Or wait, tell Microsoft to stop making an OS that every other programmer chooses to use?
   
   The "monopoly" thingy is pissing me off. It's out of MS' control. A monopoly is when you CANNOT chose. Use Linux, by all mean.. it's a GREAT OS. But it just doesn't cut it for desktops right now. So who do you blame? Microsoft.. Seriously.
