Sure Windows sped up but other unexpected problems would arise and bizarre undesired behavior with the OS. It also disabled XP's System Restore - which made removal and recovery difficult.

The spectrum conflict might not last long, Sirius XM is hurting and (hopefully) will be out of business by 2012. The future of content delivery is wireless internet, and once Sprint/Clear has those 4G towers up and running nationwide people with smart phones and IP enabled radios will be streaming Internet radio stations into their cars and satellite radio will be another moment in tech history.

Now sprint needs to drop the WIMAX smart phones and we'll be all set.
