  1. Review - FlagRASH

    1.0 (Feb 8, 2002)

This is what I've been looking for each time I format I backup on CD and then copy to C:, but all the files are read-only so I need a little piece of software like this to switch it :).

  2. Review - Trillian

    0.70 (Dec 6, 2001)

This app has been great since .63, was missing a few features and now it has those features, the real question is why aren't you using it?

  3. Review - RAR for Linux

    2.80 Beta 1 (Dec 16, 2000)

I always have prefered RAR compression to any other and Linux Rar just adds to that, a great way to split files and throw them on disks or store files, easy enough to use and install. I use it a lot to transfer files from my Windows Partition to my Linux partition, because I haven't gotten my modem to work yet.

  4. Comment - ICQ Celebrates Five Years

    2.80 Beta 1 (Nov 24, 2001 - 1:06 AM)

Trillian (www.trillian.cc) gives this directly in a tooltip in the buddylist.

  5. Comment - Microsoft Preps XP Marketing Blitz

    2.80 Beta 1 (Oct 14, 2001 - 1:32 AM)

I used XP for a week, now that I'm back in freezing windows 98 I can understand why to switch but software that I love doesn't work in XP so why should I use that. I'd get sick of the interface before I knew it (already sick of the blue one, the green one makes my stomach turn (in all directions), the metallic on is nice but kinda black and white. If they had any intellegence at all they would have made the interface customizeable. Though after trying XP I wanted to try 2000 to see if it was just as stable, but with the speed of 98.

  6. Comment - Windows Messenger Tweaked for XP Launch

    2.80 Beta 1 (Oct 14, 2001 - 1:24 AM)

Trillian supports complete history of everything that happens from server to chatting, but it's called logging and is cometimes hard to find. It's there.

  7. Comment - ICQ Wants Your Opinion on Ads

    2.80 Beta 1 (Mar 19, 2001 - 1:10 AM)

I was also fed up with all this ICQ stuff so I switched to Trillian (http://www.trillian.com)
No ads, skinnable and connects to all popular messengers with no probability for ads in the software or on their site.

  8. Comment - Advertisements in ICQ Messages?

    2.80 Beta 1 (Mar 8, 2001 - 9:47 PM)

There are so many good instant messengers that can connect to ICQ network, why dont you switch?
No ads, not bloatware and many also have the ability to connect to more than just ICQ, like www.trillian.cc (Trillian) can connect to IRC, MSN, AIM, and ICQ. Also is skinnable. So stop complaining and go download something new and better.
