   After using Advanced Disk Catalog (Elcomsoft) for many years, I am totally sold on WhereIsIt - it deals easily with a humongous collection of 500GB's, extracts interesting information on files and is reasonably fast. Simply the best!
   
   (Regarding some comments further down: A catalog can contain many disks. Unicode is supported.)

   Very good program without frills. Excellent image viewers (better than WinRar) and folder display (better than WinZip).
