Today, Finnish mobile phone leader Nokia introduced its first notebook PC, the Nokia Booklet 3G. Nokia Booklet 3G

Mobility is still the name of the game for the 25-year cellular phone pioneer, as the 10" Booklet 3G is designed for portability, with an aluminum chassis only .79" (2 cm) thick that weighs only 2.75 lbs (1.25kg). Naturally, it will also feature built-in 3G, HSPA, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Nokia Booklet 3G

Since Nokia is not launching the device until September 2, information about the Booklet 3G is currently limited. The Windows-based device is powered by an Intel Atom processor of indeterminate speed and will include a built-in Webcam, SD card reader and one feature not typically found on netbooks, an HDMI out for HD video output.

It's been about 18 years since Nokia produced a PC. In 1991, Nokia Data was sold to International Computers Limited (ICL), a mainframe computer company owned by Fujitsu, which was itself later renamed to Fujitsu Services Limited.

Looks nice, but I bet it'll have one ugly pricetag.

Looks sexy!!! I fear the price will be higher than normal EEE netbooks though... and I wish it was a bit lighter. But it looks AWESOME!!!
Hope its gonna be running Windows 7.... :D

Seems like a good bet that it will be sold at a subsidized price with an internet service contract.

Hopefully it won't be overpriced like mobile phones are.

Completely weird arrow key layout...I don't think I could get used to that.

Gah...

September 2?

No-one should be buying a computer between now and when they start shipping with Win7 unless they plan to put Linux or Hackintosh on it.

agreed, whats the point of getting a system with Vista and THEN get the upgrade and install it all over again, since you're better off doing a clean install anyhow at that point. People should just wait til 10.22.

There's a point... Since netbooks come with Windows XP, I don't think there's a low-price upgrade option to 7, is there?

Likely not. Thank goodness for Technet. ;)

interesting, the device looks pretty solid, i'm sure this and 7 could be a nice buy, depending on Price, which Nokia may get wrong...

it would be nice if the price is right, but i'm sure with the inclusion of 3G, HSPA, and AGPS, it'll be much higher priced than the average netbook. I'm guessing about $100 higher.
