The negative reviews here reminds me of some moderators at certain tech support site that harp the dangers of even looking at a reg cleaner.
Not only is Powertools the best reg cleaner for techies, but it is chalk full of other useful tools. A couple of my favorites is the ability to search for files using wild cards and the ability to search the registry for a single word and have it return a list of results. The directory finder is another feature that I use quite often. There are also many other useful features that I will not mention here that are very useful.
JV16 Powertools hasn't toasted my system yet and I have been using it for a few years now. But for those of you who say it has toasted your system, where is your backups? Your JV16 created registry backup and your system backup should have saved you if you had prepared.

In order to use Google Earth, you must have the updater.exe enabled. They need this enabled so that they can keep tabs on your surfing habits, what time you eat, and what time you use the toilet etc.. So pay for it and expect ads tailored to you.
4.73.31233 Beta (Sep 7, 2009)
Ad Block Pro is a good freebie, but Ad Muncher does a whole lot more. It blocks web bugs and java applets that spy on you besides ads.
I used to get continuous messages from my security suite that google-analytics was fishing for my Visa or telephone information. But these messages have stopped since Ad Muncher was installed.
I am running this on a Windows 7 64 bit machine without any problems whatsoever so far.
You pay for what you get. If you can't afford Ad Muncher, stick with Ad Block Pro. They both work well, but Ad Muncher will go the extra mile for you by way of privacy.

This will be good medicine for my DX58SO motherboard and Windows 7 installation.

Great!
More bundled adware bloat. Now I remember why I purchase custom made computers.

I foresee vpn services popping up all over the place similar to Pirate Bay's ipredator.

One P2P site gets shut down and five more pop up to take its place. RIAA may as well give up.
9.1.1.1019 (Feb 9, 2008 - 1:17 AM)
Wow, count all the posts from those who hate the RIAA. Sure are lots of 'em. It would be great to see some polls pop up to see just what percentage of the population actually does hate this so called RIAA organization.
9.1.1.1019 (Oct 5, 2007 - 12:32 PM)
I suspect that much of the Trojans and viruses on the P2p networks are discreetly from the RIAA. It would be nice to prove it and I could suck the living cash out of them like they do there victims in the court of law.
The Internet Security firms would lose revenue themselves if the RIAA got there way. No more RIAA would mean no more viruses. Who would the internet security firms help protect then?
